The Invisible Cities project is a VR experience that guides the Player through levels based on cities from Calvino’s “Invisible Cities.” My small team chose to create Octavia, the spider web city. My main contributions include level layout and creation of the trees and main temple assets.
In the Octavia level, the Player spawns in a cave and rounds a corner to find a vast city spun between two massive mountains like a spider web. The Player follows a system of rope bridges down while taking in the large vistas and hanging houses. The Player then finds a doorway that leads them to the next city in the sequence.
